Give your
visitors the info they came for and then seduce their senses.
So you have a topic and you have a website but how do you get
people to not only read it but come back again and again and
tell their friends about it too?
Understand this, visitors to your site are going to be there
for one of a few reasons: to research a particular
topic, to find out what "the real story is" (aka
consumer testimony) or to find out new, late-breaking,
information about a topic.
The 3 pronged Whammy!
Instead
of targeting one of these reasons, let’s give your visitors all of the
above.
Quality content will be the reason people initially visit
your site, re-visit your site, trust you enough to buy from
you, respect your judgment enough to click on your ads and
tell others about your site.
Write It:
Give personal testimony or customer opinions about a topic
or
product/service.
Borrow It:
Provide factual data or links to multiple sources of data
using Free
Article Sources.
Feed It:
Bring the latest information
available directly to your visitor from
respected other online publications.
Description:
Please do your best to sound intelligent. And try not to
make up too much information. Link to or copy correct stats.
People depend on good info to make decisions. There are tons
of actual data online at your fingertips. If you do
not know the specific detail of what you are talking about –
just reference a site that does.
People will go there after they finish reading your article
and you still seem credible. This can be very beneficial to
you in more ways than one. Writing your own articles is a
great way to network.
Pros:
You get to say exactly what you want to say about whomever
you want. You may want to contact a manufacturer directly
to see what type of unique info you can get or compensation
they may consider for you writing an honest review.
Cons:
Don't sell your soul or your visitors trust. Once you lose credibility you will
lose visitors and there is nothing worse than a blogger
scorned.
Description:
Free Articles are a great source of content for newbies.
There are some great sites that offer a complete array of
topics. However, Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
Give credit where credit is due. Most only require a simple
link to their site placed at the bottom of the article.
These articles are submitted by people who are just trying
to get the word out.
We
suggest staying away from anything
that seems to be gearing you towards a particular product
purchase (unless that is the article you need) and focus on
the ones that deal more in the facts or offer helpful
suggestions.
Pros:
There are tons of topics to choose from, multiple lengths,
all legally allowed to copy
text into your own blog or website as long as you give
credit where due.
Cons:
No way to tell how accurate the info is. Certain
restrictions on usage (read carefully before you apply
content to your site.)
Description:
RSS stands for Really
Simple Syndication. It is a family of
Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated
content such as
blog entries, news headlines or
podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed",
"web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of
content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS
makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite
web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking
them manually.
Cons:
Takes visitors away from your page with every click and does
not show as content when the search spiders roam your site
for ranking.

Important sites:
Most information based sites have an RSS feed somewhere.
Check the very bottom of the home page for "RSS Feed" and
click on it. You should get a list of articles. Take the web
address from that page and drop it into the
NovaFeed Feed Creator,and follow the
directions.
People
love to watch videos. Anything from a commercial to a 3 min
spot on something similar to what your talking about. This
gives your visitors some feeling of interaction and is just
plain FUN.
Link to You Tube using the
"Embed Link" code. To adjust the size simply change the
Height and Width numbers to fit the space that you need in
both areas.
Remember, the
numbers must be the same ratio as the original.
